First attempt with the bread machine.



Thank you Jessica Rine  for the bread machine.

The crumb was pretty soft, fluffy, and consistent.  The crust was not bad but a little softer then I would like.  Probably because I did not pull the bread out when it was hot, but rather let it cool in the machine.

Recipe:
3.25 cups of bread flour
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp margarine
3 Tbsp sugar
1 3/8 cup sugar
1.5 tsp (1 envelope) active dry yeast

Follow the directions on your bread machine!!!

  2. The recipe has too much sugar. Bread machines make a very dense loaf compared to letting the machine make the dough and then shaping into loaves.

  3. It did seem a tad on the sweet side. The loaf did not seem to dense. How much sugar would you suggest Daniel Stuhlmam?
